Battlefield Heroes is a brand new Play 4 Free game from the people that brought you the multi-million selling Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2. It’s a fun cartoon-style shooter which caters to players of all skill levels — easy to pick up and play but with robust character customization and a deep online meta-game, gamers can spend hours building up their characters and conquering the world. Offered for play for free, the game features a built-in matchmaking system to ensu
"Heroes" is the first free-to-play online game released by Electronic Arts, and players will see ads before playing, and also have the option of purchasing premium content. Matches in the game are similar to the regular "Battlefield" titles in that they involve capturing points on a map to win, but unlike the other "Battlefield" games, "Battlefield Heroes" is much easier to play, and designed for a more general gaming audience.
Battlefield Heroes features a modified conquest mode providing each team 50 tickets and eventually one flag at the start of the round. Killing enemies and holding more flags than the opposing army will progressively reduce their number of tickets. The game also features matchmaking, to keep players of the same level together. Developers of the game have talked about levels going as high as 40 or 50. The two armies are called the National Army (possessing a red base color flag) and the Royal Army (possessing a blue base color flag). The game is third-person only at this point, but senior producer Ben Cousins has stated if first-person is really wanted, it may be added in at a later date. Spawn times are 5 seconds (compared to the 15 seconds of previous Battlefield games), allowing for less waiting and more action. Players do not pick spawn points since the game has an "Intelligent Spawn System" putting players closest to the nearest battle. Four maps will be available on release.
The point system in Battlefield Heroes will be called the Metagame. It will allow characters to fight for a territorial position during each match. The land gained will then be recorded as a win for each army, and at the end of the week everything will be added up and both armies will be given money based on percentage and land conquered. Players can choose whether or not to participate in the Metagame.
Like previous Battlefield games Battlefield Heroes has a class system, which has been reduced to three basic classes: the Soldier, Gunner, and Commando. A screenshot showing early gameplay shown in the official trailer. A screenshot showing the Metagame shown in the official trailer.
Players may also purchase bandages to regenerate health and wrenches to regenerate vehicle armor points (which is the same as health for out of vehicle players).
Battlefield Heros is offering an innovative mix between traditional multiplayer strategy games and persistent online games. A game in Battlefield Heros (which is called a 'Galaxy') exists in it's own completely separate galaxy. Every Galaxy has a definite start, and ends when there is an obvious winner. Galaxies usually last between 3 and 6 weeks, but you are not required to sit behind your computer and babysit your empire all the time - instead (just like in a wide variety of browser based games) you give your orders and commands, and check back several hours later to see the results of your decisions...
Battlefield Heroes or, as many like to call it ‘Heroes’ or 'BFH' is a new step in the Battlefield franchise, it is mostly aimed at casual gamers or gamers who like funny, cartoony and not too serious game play. It is not made to replace previous Battlefield titles, like Battlefield 2. In Heroes we have two factions fighting on the virtual battlefield against each other: The ‘National Army’ and the ‘Royal Army’.

Tip 1: You got to move it, move it... Don't stand still, move! First of all it's very easy for a sniper to unload 3 bullets on you when you stand still, you will die before you even realize what happened. Keep moving, ALWAYS. Learn to strafe too, strafing is moving from the left to the right rapidly, it's a very useful tactic in decreasing the amount of damage that you take. More about that later on in this tip list.
