You will have to manage well the economy of your club to improve your athletes as optimally as possible and to allow them to reach the highest regional, national and international goals. But to do this, as well as the economy, you will have to reckon with the technical limits and to prepare the season at best planning it to make your athletes show the maximum of their potential.
The main characteristics of each athlete are: Strength, Stamina, Speed, Agility, Jump and Throw. In addtion each athlete possesses 2 extra skills that are determined according to the speciality he'll be assigned to (specialization). Each athlete will have the possiblity of specializing in one of the following categories: Sprinter, Middle Distance Runner, Long Distance Runner, Race Walker, Jumper, Thrower. After choosing the speciality for an athlete he will receive these 2 additional skills with a random value that will be slightly influenced by his current Mood.
Coaches and Training
The Coaches are fundamental for the training and therefore for the improvement of your Club's athletes. Every Coach will have a speciality (Sprinter, Middle Distance Runner, ... ) and his own skills (strenght, stamina, ... ): the higher the value of one of his skills, the better he will train that characteristic. Every Coach can have a different training program dedicating a training percentage to the various skills. The higher this percentage will be, the better the training efficiency will be. In order to make an athlete follow a specific traning program, he'll need to be associated to a Coach. The Coaches of a speciality will only be able to follow and train the athletes of that speciality.
Every club will need to manage its arena, which consists of running lanes, a press room, a dressing room, seating and a gym. An arena can have from 2 up to 8 lanes. The greater the number of lanes, the higher will be the number of athletes that may race in each heat. Due to the higher competition between the athletes, the final results may therefore be better.
The Club's economy is fundamental for its success. In the Finances area you'll be able to keep track of your weekly income and expenditures: from the sponsorships to the wages payed out, from the prizes won to the costs for the organizing an event. You can also take a look at the latest transactions made in order to keep better control over your bank balance.
It is possible to put an athlete in the transfer market directly from his/her page and deciding what will be the starting price of the auction. The athlete will be on the market for three days and during this time the other clubs can make bids. The income from the sale will be determined by how long the athlete had remained in your club.

One of the most interesting aspects of Tracks and Fields are the athletic performances of athletes who compete to create the seasonal and all-time rankings of their results.
