Popmundo is an online roleplaying game and community where the players strive for fame in a virtual music industry. The game is played in real time and the game keeps on going even when you're not logged on. Popmundo is not a traditional video game with animated graphics and sound. It's more of a imaginative management game and playful community where you log on a couple of times a week to work on your career.

You start the game as a complete nobody with nothing but your hopes and dreams. You can practice your music, play a few gigs, and begin to build a fanbase. Popmundo is a text based game. A successful player is required to read and understand large portions of text to be able to form his or her own personal game strategy. Popmundo is filled with a lot of entertaining content which might be considered unsuitable for some. Sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, crime, politics, foul language, violence, and scantily-clad members of the opposite sex, etc. The game treats all this content in a non-judgmental and humorous manner as part of a fictional world. It's not meant to comment upon, be influenced by, or reflect the real world in any way. This game is therefore unsuitable for players who experience problems separating fact from fiction.
