In SimRocker, you can begin your rise to fame as you work your way from playing lowly street corners and tough roadhouse bars to headlining major concerts and festivals around the world. It's not going to be easy though. You will face off against others playing with the same hopes and dreams. It's every rocker for themselves as you battle it out for fame and fortune.
First, its important to know what profession you are assigned.
SimRocker randomly assigns professions to every new player. Each profession has an instrument assigned to it and this is given to you as well. So if you are assigned the role of a Drummer for example, you would get the default drum set for that profession as well. You can actually change your profession or instrument at any time. But it comes with a cost. It will take $5000 game cash to change your profession.
I understand my profession but what do I do now?
Well, you are either a singer, guitarist, bass player or drummer but....you are not very good at it! In fact, its safe to say you currently suck as a musician. So how do you get better? Practice! This is such an important aspect of the game. The more you practice the better you get. The better you are at playing your instrument, the easier time you will have beating other players in duels and such. You want to be the best but it going to take time and effort to do so.
Practice? How?
To summarize, you are given an amount of practice points in which you can use to increase your stats in 6 key areas of practice. You assign however many practice points for each of these areas you wish to train in. Your stats increase as you apply these points. However, as you practice both your practice points and the amount of energy you have decreases. When both reach zero, you must wait until they refill.
What is Dueling?
Dueling is another important element to your success as a rocker. You are not the only one out there with dreams of making it big. Other players are competing against you and are more than likely practicing just as hard to get ahead. You can battle these players in a duel. A duel will test your skills against theirs. The winner of a duel takes game cash away from the other player as well as the opportunity to acquire new fans.
So I duel other players to earn new Fans. Why are fans so important?
You have to have a fan base if you are ever going to hit the big time! Without fans, you might as well just call it quits. The number of fans you have in the game determines your overall ranking in the game. As you gain fans, you become more and more popular. Your level of Popularity will impact what you can and cannot do in the game.
Round Length/Prizes
SimRocker is a round based game. The end of each round will be determined prior to the start of that round and will be announced in the game forums. When the round ends, the game will be locked down. During this locked period the rankings of the players will be determined by the standings at the end of the round. The game will be reset.
